Fishes of the Perdido Watershed

The Perdido River creates one of the boundaries between Florida and Alabama and empties into Perdido Bay.  Its major tributaries are the Styx River and the Blackwater River, both entirely in Alabama.

The USGS has an interactive map of this watershed which will allow you to see the boundaries and to identify the various tributary names in this system (just hover the cursor over the appropriate creek or river!).

This is a list of Freshwater Fishes found in the Perdido Watershed (03140106). The Scientific Name is linked to a wealth of information on the species held at the NatureServe site.
